My childminding business is run in a professional and organised manner. I work on an hourly basis at a rate negotiated directly with the parent.
there is a contract for each child in my care, this is a signed agreement between both parents and childminder, it includes contracted hours, hourly rate, holidays, holiday pay, illness, overtime and length of notice required to end the agreement etc.
Contracts are revised yearly.
I am required to keep up to date records on attendance as well as detailed information on the children in my care.
Each child will have his/her own individual file which will contain their contract, record of information, medication records and accident and incident records.
Contracts and record forms are kept secure and confidential but will also be easily accessible in case of an emergency.
I also have EYFS folders for each child which documents their developmental progress through observations and photograph’s. These are also shared with parents and will be passed over when the child leaves my care.
